Home Sweet Home is a kitchen & bathroom showroom and homewares shop based in Barnstaple, family-run by Joe & Laura. Both are proud to be bringing high-quality kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and homewares to the beautiful North Devon area. Home Sweet Home offers customers the ability to discover their ultimate living space within the busiest rooms of their home.

Meet The Team
Joe Farnell - Director & Designer
Joe has worked for many years in the kitchen industry, having gained experience from both the retail and manufacturing side by managing a kitchen showroom and becoming an area manager for a British manufacturer. This enabled Joe to design large kitchen showrooms across the South West, Midlands and even covering Dubai. Joe is able to put into action all the design flair and industry knowledge he’s learnt to deliver you a kitchen & bathroom which perfectly reflects your lifestyle.
Laura Farnell - Director
Laura has also gained experience in the kitchen industry having previously worked as a marketing manager for a kitchen & bathroom showroom. She’s also worked internationally with her marketing career, organised diverse events and running her own marketing company, Leopard Marketing. Laura puts those customer service and marketing skills to work in the showrooms & shop and loves welcoming customers. The window displays are her passion & was very proud the shop won the Britian In Bloom Business award in 2023 for them.
Lisa Rottenbury - Kitchen Designer
Lisa gained experience working with both retail and trade whilst training to become a kitchen designer prior to joining the Home Sweet Home family. Lisa is fantastic at visualising the best use of your space and making it a reality.
Steve Watson - Aftersales Care
Steve has worked in the home industry for many decades providing kitchens and bathrooms to many North Devon homes. Steve helps our customers with his exetensive knowledge with any queries they have during the installation process of their kitchens and bathrooms and helps them feel supported.
Niki Davidson-Grant - Shop Executive
Niki is a trained interior designer who loves to visualise the potential for all areas of the home. She’s excited to help you find your perfect home finishes. Niki has a wealth of experience in the retail industry making her customer service second to none. She loves assisting customers looking to update their home decor or searching for the perfect gift.
Ella Harris - Shop Assistant
This is Ella’s first job & we love being able to help her learn retail whilst studying to become architect. She has a real passion for interior design and loves seeing the new trends coming into the shop.
Loki - CHO (Chief Happy Officer)
You may see Loki when you pop in, checking in on the team and customers and ready to give cuddles if needed!
