Himalayan salt lamps come in many natural shades, varying from pure white, oranges, pinks, reds and sometimes a mixture of them all. The reason for this colour variation is caused by the infusion of iron coupled with over 80 other minerals within the salt crystal. Generally found in the outer parts of the salt mine, white Himalayan mineral salt has a low iron content in the crystal and white Himalayan mineral salt isn’t as common. When used as a salt lamp and heated, your salt lamp releases negative ions which acts to purify the surrounding air. They also give the room a wonderful soft warm glow.
