Joe & Laura are both very excited to announce another member of the Home Sweet Home family, Kim Brewer.
Kim will be coming on board as the new Homewares Advisor for the shop soon to open. Kim is a fantastic addition to the team with brilliant experience in retail including homewares at Debenhams and clothing at White Stuff. Her enthusiasm for styling homewares and helping customers is infectious, we know our lovely customers will enjoy getting her advice.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was a kid I really wanted to be a Vet, I love animals and I wanted to save all of them. I’ve never been one of these people that knew exactly what I wanted to do when I grew up so this did change weekly.
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
I think they’d say kind, funny and enthusiastic.
If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Easy! It would have to be Pizza, as long as I could mix up the toppings every now and then.
What book are you reading now?
I’ve just started American Gods by Neil Gaiman. So far it seems to be incredibly dark and bizarre. I really like Neil Gaiman’s writing, I feel like I’m in another world every time I read one of his books.
What’s the first concert you went to?
My first concert was a Steps tribute band at the queen’s theatre when I was about 11, it was terrible but amazing.
What’s your favourite place to eat around here?
Everest Gurka in Maiden Street. It has the most incredible food, fantastic service and such a lovely atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone.
What’s your favourite TV Show- the one you’re always watching on repeat?
For me, it has to be Friends or Buffy. I take such comfort in knowing what’s going to happen and I genuinely laugh out loud at the same joke’s every time.
Which season is your favourite?
Autumn, I love the bright colder morning and I enjoy wearing lots of layers.
